NEWS: We received the long awaited orders last week and our first duty station will be...
HAWAII!!!
The Lord is good and continues to blow us away with His provisions and the way He makes our cups to overflow. Thank you, Lord. My youngest brother and his wife (Zac and Sissy Haynes) are stationed in Hawaii. http://www.mwrarmyhawaii.com/mwrdirectory.asp is a web link where you can see more of Hawaii and Schofield Barracks, which is where we will be moving to. You can also visit www.teamtyson.us to see pictures of our current housing and post. As I am new to this, it may take me a little bit to figure out how to post pictures on here.
Other news: with moving into old housing can sometimes mean old problems... we have mice! That's right, mice. Notice I did not say a mouse...we've caught 5 in three days! :( I am squeemish when it comes to mice. I don't know what it is. You would think growing up in Alabama would prepare you for these things. I can handle the snakes, lizards and spiders, but mice....YIKES!!! Those furry little critters don't stand a chance. What's even more discouraging is that my fearless attack dog lies on the floor while the little boogers are crawling around in the kitchen cabinets. She doesn't even notify me of their presence. In all seriousness, Ruth is by far the best little dog I've ever known. She is the best companion and such a huge blessing from the Lord. Not to mention, while Dave is not able to stay with me at night during this phase of training, Ruth is the best cuddle-bug ever. Dave, she is just keeping your side of the bed warm. :)
Well, good night everyone. I'll let you know how my orientation meetings at Ft. Sill go tomorrow. I pray the Lord continues to draw you all nearer and dearer to Him with every breath you breath by any means necessary. I love you. God bless you! - Carrie (Boo, Carrie Lynn, and Carebear)
P.S. I've got to start job hunting. Please pray the Lord gives me discernment and wisdom to find the job He wants me to have. I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up, so it's proving difficult in finding a job. =)

Hi friend! I love the new blog! It looks great! Sorry to hear about the mice...yuck! I will be praying that you find a job you love and that the mice will go away! I am so jealous about Hawaii, and would LOVE to come visit when you get there! :-)
We miss you guys!
Carrie! I'm enjoying the blog! YEAH!! Keep us updated as much as possible! I just keep my camera with me ALL the time...just in my purse (even here at work right now! :)) so that I can share my life with others and have a picture to back up my blogs! :)
I enjoyed our conversation yesterday so much...it was good for both of our souls, girl. I shared all the good news with Russell, too...congrats on ALL of it from both of us, and we want to visit you in Hawaii! :) YEAH!!!
